Per chi si stia approcciando a questo strumento per la prima volta, una specie di sintetizzatore, dalla diteggiatura che farà sentire a casa chi abbia suonato un violino o simili prima d'ora.
Tre ottave selezionabili, con una manopola per il volume, entrambe sul retro, oltre a due prese jack rispettivamente per l'utilizzo con speaker esterni o per la modifica diretta del suono con l'utilizzo di uno smartphone (Sebbene questa sia molto ridotta in termini di possibilità su android rispetto ad iOS).
A primo impatto si può notare subito la differenza da un Otamatone standard, il collo sembra molto più solido, in proporzione con esso le note sono molto più distinguibili, il suono più "soft" e molto più limpido.
Se state considerando l'acquisto di un Otamatone con intenzione di suonarlo in alcuna maniera, lasciate perdere lo standard e pensate a questo o al Deluxe.
In breve, "perfetto per quello che è", essendo pur sempre un synth relativamente semplice e limitato. Nel suo piccolo, ottimo prodotto.
Aggiungo che, puramente in teoria, essendo la "nuova generazione" di Otamatone, sembra che la versione Techno presenti meno unità difettose, cosa che si è rivelata invece abbastanza problematica con la versione Deluxe.

I've bought it as a funny little instrument, prank of some sort, if I may. Yet it shown itself being pretty educational. You'll learn to perfect vibrato, you'll learn how to play notes without seeing frets or similar markers and it's fun to use since it looks ridiculous.
Switching between voicings is easy, they are different and if you connect the instrument via line out people around you will even hear it. There's not much sense of using it unplugged in case you want to use it as a serious thing.
In general if you know what you're getting you're going to love it, in case you don't know what otamatone is, just go for the cheaper version.

Was looking for a version of Otamatone which will not play sound through the speaker when headphone is plugged in, which is the Techno version - perfect for playing in a quiet neighborhood at midnight. Easy to learn hard to master.
It came with 3x AA batteries, a 3.5mm cable for connecting to a phone, manuals in Japanese, English, and German, and a Otamatone Techno strap.
3 holes at the back of the Otamatone Techno, one for connecting to a phone, one for headphones, one for DC 5V power which you can use instead of the 3x AA batteries. The screw for the battery compartment was designed to be unscrewed/tightened using any thin coin, which was very thoughtful. There is a foam block inside the mouth of the Otamatone so be sure to remove that before complaining about it being too quiet.

Bought this as a present for a colleague of mine, but after opening it up and seeing how fun it is I'm deffinitely getting another one for myself! The amount of laughs you can have at a party with this thing is incredible. Superb product!
