I got this to completely redo the electronics of my epiphone Les Paul classic.
Remember, you will need to widen the small sized push-pull pot openings on your epiphone. Non push-pulls don’t need rework.
Presentation is really nice. I was confused at first because there is no CTS mark on the pots. Switch is not switchcraft, don’t buy switchcraft switch tips, they won’t fit. Good thing is the set includes cream switch tip. It feels exactly like epiphone switch, but the nut is definitely not metric. Cabling is not premium braided or cloth wire but looks reliable.
Okay, after the looks and titles, it works perfectly. It literally took me minutes to install the harness. The wago connector is really easy to work with. Switch and jack cables are nicely thinned for very easy installation. Grounding is so much easier than other solderless harnesses, especially if your pickups have braided wires. 50’s and 60’s switches work perfectly. From now on pickup change will be a breeze.
I would recommend making the braided and ground connections before installing the pcb into the body. Once you’re all set, it is really easy to finish the connections.
To summarize, I don’t think this is an extremely needed upgrade to a stock epiphone with full sized pots. For gibsons, pcb’s on tributes or studios feel more premium than this. If you are not good at soldering like me and try something different every once in a while, you can go for it. It is still a very high quality and well made harness that would not let you down.

Did I get a bad one?
Des51 29.04.2024
I bought this after reading such positive reviews. Can't believe my results.
Instalation not too bad but potentiometers so light I thought they were budget ones. After install and restring was hoping for some sweet tones and sensitive response from pots. Rhythm not too bad, Treble nothing at all until 8 - 10.

A dissapointing purchase and time waste for me.

Putting back my £10 chinese imports.
Sorry Obsidian but won't but anything else from you.

Bad potentiometers
Cenxuan 05.09.2025
It’s easy to install them, but the potentiometers are bad, loose. You can feel nothing when you turn them around. After 2 months of using it, I decided to get rid of them and buy myself a new one from another brand. It’s all good if you don’t care about the damping feel of the knobs. It’s not useless, with the solderless design, you can easily swap pickups and try out which one is the best fit for your guitar.

One good thing is the out jack, I personally feel it’s better than the gibson stock one. It’s tight and it’s the only thing from the set I am still using.

At the monument I am writing this comment, the 30-day-money-back has expired already. I am just going to keep it, for a potential future new Les Paul. I prefer to use it as a tool for testing out pickups, instead of keeping it permanently in my guitar.

Could be better
igor.k 04.12.2024
1) From the beginning, both tone pots started to produce scratchy/crackling sound when being turned up or down

2) The toggle switch is not Switchcraft, but rather a cheaper alternative, which felt too stiff. After a little while, the bridge position started to sometimes turn silent.

3) The ports for ground/braided wires are too narrow and it’s very difficult to push braided pickup wire through them.

The whole idea of the device is good, but Obsidian definitely needs to improve.
I sent it back.
