NS Design Upright Bass Thumb Stop BR

I bought this because the NS basses desperately need some kind of physical reference point halfway up the neck. As a double bassist, the heel of the neck is one of the most useful reference points we have. This product is a great idea, but is formed incorrectly. It fits perfectly in first position, where you absolutely don’t need or want it. It doesn’t fit at all where it should go (D on the G string).

I have two NS basses. A NXT 4 string and a CRM 5 string. It’s exactly the same problem on both. I don’t understand how this was brought to market, especially at this price.
