Mooer TresCab

Se come me sei stanco di dover portare dietro un muletto nel caso in cui il tuo prezioso amplificatore ti abbandoni sul palco, questo è l'aggeggio che fa per te.
Un utilissimo e semplicissimo simulatore di cabinet, piccolo e resistente. Non serve altro che collegarlo in cascata tra la pedaliera e il mixer, poi tramite semplici controlli puoi scegliere tra 5 tipi di emualazione di cab, la distanza e angolazione del microfono e una sezione di equalizzatore con regolazione degli alti e bassi.

Quindi oltre che aggeggio paracadute, può essere anche un ottimo sostituto del microfono soprattutto nei piccoli club, ad esempio per sdoppiare la chitarra tramite l'uscita di un pedale stereo, giochino utilissimo soprattutto quando nella band si ha un solo chitarrista e manca un po' di pienezza nel sound,

PRO
-Il pedale è semplice da usare.
- Resistente.
- Poco ingombrate.
- Molto economico.

Contro
- Soprattutto se usato senza pedaliera non vi permette di avere nessuno stato di guadagno, quindi niente overdrive e distorsione per intenderci.
- Alcune simulazioni non sono realistiche

Da considerare
- La qualità del Mixer e del P.A. fanno la differenza.

I conclusione: il suo lavoro lo fa egregiamente e come tutti i prodotti Mooer ha un rapporto qualità/prezzo imbattibile, chiaramente sul mercato ci sono alternative più valide ma sicuramente molto più costose.

After using a Palmer DI box with a small laney tube amp, i wanted to get rid and go for a 'light' setup. This means getting rid of the amp.

So on first plug in, its far better than any sounding guitar going straight into a mixer (sounds horrible), however through this pedal it does sound more like a guitar amp.

The different settings, the changing of 'cabs' just changes the EQ for that setting.

for eg, a small 10" cab is going to have less bass and more top end, and a 4x12" cab is going to have much more bass. The pedal basically replicates this, and it does it fairly well.
I have only given it a 4 for sound initially because its taking a bit of getting use to, and anyone would need to spend some time, tweaking this pedal, and also other pedals like overdrives or distortions to get a sound your happy with.
Its not so much plug and play like a guitar amp, but this is the closest you will get for the price.

As for Mooer pedals go, i have been a few of their others for a year now and they last well. 5 star for quality.

I bought this originally for recording the guitar to the PC directly from the pedal board. With the selection of multiple cab configurations, mic positioning and tone tweaking, you really can get a realistic cab sound direct form the pedal board.

Also tried putting output directly in floor wedge monitors i the studio and go a very pleasant (no bees in the jam jar) overdrive and distortion sound.

Based on various sound testing, would now pair this with the Mooer ABY box and in a live situation feed one signal through the TresCab and one to the amp or actually due to the quality of the sound, ditch the amp amp and use the foldback monitors and save my back for a few more years.

Due to the multiple selection for cab configurations, I just try all of them until I find a sound that suits the situation. For the price, there is not a lot to complain about ..... apart from the size of print on the unit, a microscope would be handy to read the labels, but at the end of the day it is a tiny pedal.

All in all well worth the money when you compare with other cab simulators some costs many many times more. In my view a bargain!
