Ok so first of all I was worried about the hi hat splashing situation, and for me the hi hat works completely fine and it doesn't splash randomly not even once, I would suggest to change the Centimeters between the hi hat and the adaptor.
I find 2.5/3 cm works the best, if I have more or less I start having the splashing thing everyone talks about, but right now I have 0 random splashes.
Also it's essential to read and understand which settings you have to change because you HAVE to calibrate and change settings, I would suggest you to understand how the calibration for the Charleston works, and how to adjust the cymbals, peak decay and sensetime are the most useful settings to begin with.
Also, I see a lot of people complaining about the sound, guys honestly, from what I was reading online I was expecting a terrifying experience, but the sounds, I like them a lot! And also if you don't or if you want to of course enhance them and therefore your experience you can use programs to have different sounds, but I'm having a lot of fun with the kits and I find some of them very fullfilling.
One downside is that my hi hat stand came a little bit broken withing the plastic but since it doesn't affect the sound I really don't care.
I would buy it again.
My hi hat works perfectly after the calibration and after building it correctly, yes it's not PERFECT as well as the cymbals, but it's great! Perfectly enjoyable.
Honestly for an acoustic size Edrums about 1k with everything to play without having to buy other parts, it's really not bad.
