Great for low volume cymbals

I bought a set of these to see if they would fit inside the holes of a Zildjian L80 low volume 18'' ride. Not only do they fit, but they also made this cymbal sizzle and sing in a beautiful kind of jazzy voice, especially when played with brushes. If you have a set of low volume cymbals, I sincerely recommend this as an addition. They are easy to mount and dismount, so you can revert your cymbal to the original state without much hassle if you don't like the sound these make.

Ordered these to replace some stocks rivets that broke off one of my ride cymbals when in the bag. Bad times! Used these, and they've been great. Very easy to install. Not the same as the ones Meinl use when you buy a cymbal with Rivets already installed, but great either way.

Bis dato hatte ich ausschließlich Bosporus Nieten im Einsatz: an meinem 22er Zultan Dune Ride, 18er Zultan Dark Matter China, 18er Zultan Dune Crash und 12er Zultan Aja Splash. Für's Ride Becken finde ich sie inzwischen zu laut und dominant. Liegt schlichtweg an der Größe und dem Gewicht der Nieten. Die Meinl Nieten sind deutlich kleiner und leichter und liefern einen wesentlich dezenteren Sound. Habe mein 22er Zultan RAW Jazz Ride damit veredelt und es klingt phantastisch! Auf der tiefen und warmen Bronze lassen die fünf Meinl Nieten ein schönes und unaufdringliches Zischeln hören. Man muss halt wissen was man will und wofür. Im Zweifelsfall beide besorgen, die kraftvollen Bosporus Nieten und die dezenten Meinl Teile. Bedenkt nur, dass beide Nieten unterschiedliche Bohrungen benötigen. Also erstmal kleine Löcher bohren für die Meinl Nieten und wennz zu dezent ist weiter aufbohren für die größeren Bosporus Rivets. Dann gibt's aber kein zurück mehr: die Meinl Rivets haben in den größeren Löchern keinen Halt mehr. Beide Nieten sind baugleich. Unten mit einem Schraubenzieher auseinanderspreizen und fertig. Die Bosporus Nieten sind aus massivem Messing, die Meinl Nieten nur beschichtet.
Kurz und knapp:
Die Meinl Sizzle Rivets Brass Plated sind günstige Nieten für einen dezenten Sizzle Sound. Wer's kräftiger haben will greift vielleicht besser zu den Bosporus Nieten.

Meinl Sizzle Rivets Brass Plated, pour mettre sur une ancienne ou nouvelle cymbale. Moi j'en ai mis deux paires donc 6 rivets. cela dépendra de l'épaisseur de la cymbale. Plus elle est épaisse et plus faut en mettre des rivets. Mais 3 rivets est une bonne moyenne. Ils sont assez léger ces rivets. il faudra bien les écarter pour pas qu'il tombe dans le sac a cymbales. Moi je les courbes en dessous pour qu'ils accrochent pas trop dans l'étui a cymbale.
