Good quality but...

I ordered those Martin pins for my 000-18 Reimagined to replace the cheap plastic ones. The choice of Martin original pins versus other cheaper alternatives (like Harley Benton) was driven by the exectation of a perfect fit.
Instead, the pins were larger than the originals and I had two alternatives: drilling the pin holes or sanding the pins. The first option was better from a technical point of view but not reversible so I went for the second option. It took me 2 hours to sand them down to fit the holes properly.

The final effect was very good, visually and sonically but I expected a better fit for a product paid 35 euros.

O-18 - nicht ganz der Treffer

Ich wollte meine O-18 mit den Pins veredeln und verschönern. Sie sehen an sich gut aus, fühlen sich natürlich besser an als die Originalen aus Kunststoff. Fürs Fingerpicking habe ich auch keinen sehr dramatischen Soundunterschied festgestellt. ABER: Sie sind einen Tick größer/dicker und lassen sich nicht so versenken, wie die Originalpins. Das sieht etwas eigenartig aus, besonders bei der kleinen O-18 und fühlt sich auch nicht so gut an, wenn man den Handballen mal auf dem Steg liegen lässt.

Sind leider viel zu dick für meine Martin D-18 und passen überhaupt nicht.

Sehr schönes Produkt, toll verarbeitet, leider viel zu dick für meine nicht sehr alte Martin D-18. Pins passen nicht mal annähernd in die Löcher. Hätte schon erwartet, dass Martin für Martin passt. Schade.

Ma guitare folk de 1982 (Eagle) avait besoin d'une cure de jouvence.
Son attache sangle commençait à se fatiguer et les chevilles (en plastique) étaient vraiment usées. C'est à se demander comment les cordes tenaient encore !
Ce n'est pas flagrant pour les auditeurs lambda, mais je note une subtile amélioration du son.
J'ai fait quelques scènes depuis et j'ai le même plaisir à jouer avec qu'au début.
Je ne regrette pas du tout cet achat.
