Pro compressor

Sounds transparent. Will shape up the transients in an elegant way. Not a 'very caracterial' unit. Very clean signal path, no noise, hum, hiss, etc. A bit limited in what it can do, but it was expected giving the few controls... Some items on the from panel feels just a little bit flimsy/fragile (at that price, I expect the BEST and solid controls), but well made overall.

It's hard to describe the sound of a compressor with words so I encourage you to browse YouTube for demos... Some videos demonstrate accurately what this compressor is capable of.

In meiner Kette mit U67 und Voxbox gibt der ELOP+ nochmal ein klares und abgerundetes Gesantbild, gerade was Sprachaufnahmen angeht. Ich hatte zuvor mehrere Kompressoren getestet, aber nichts hat mich so überzeugt. Was wirklich genial ist, man kann den ELOP als Stereogerät nutzen - also entweder Kompressor oder Limiter, oder - und das finde ich extrem genial - als Mono-Kette, Mic-> Komp.-> Limiter. Klingt fantastisch und zähmt die Spitzen, ohne irgendetwas zu cutten. Sprache wirkt einfach klarer, aufgeräumter. Ich würde den ELOP+ jederzeit wieder kaufen. Manley hat wie immer alles richtig gemacht.

Super Kompressor den ich nicht mehr missen möchte, super leichte Bedienung + Super Verdichtung des Signals!
Man darf Ihn nicht mit dem LA-2A vergleichen, der ELOP ist deutlich dezenter aber somit auch Allround-Fähiger.

I saw a you tube video from a pro who stated, 'it's a 3dementionaliser , is that a word even?' We thought we could hear it even on that particular YouTube movie so we were interested. So carefully we took it out of the packaging in case we wanted to send it back but mannnnnn what a sound. There is a really nice sweet spot which gives the master a nice oomph without coloring it too much or smashing the dynamics. And that depth / That 3 d effect is whiting a really small bandwidth but if you dial it in there whoopaaahhhh. This baby is staying in our studio now
