I have typically played on the Denis Wick SM4U and after researching on line thought this would be an upgrade. While the K&G site lists this as an equivelant to the SM3U, chats and discussions recommended the 3.5D. However, I believe the K&G charts had it right. It does not offer the range I was hoping for when compared to the SM4U. I do like the feel and sound but for the price I would stick with Denis Wick pieces and will likely put it up for sale.
