Bad quality control

The ukulele had to be returned. Bad factory quality control - proud frets to the point they hurt while playing, wood deformations under lacquer, small imperfections and bad craftsmanship all around the instrument. An instrument in this state should not have left the QC.
Thomann offered some refund for me too keep it, but it was not enough to be viable. Just solving the fretwork would cost me an hour or two of luthier work which would already be more than the mentioned refund, not to mention I would be left with cosmetically inferior product. As far as sound goes, the ukulele sounds good, but did not have a really amazing sustain, it is kind of a dull instrument. I suppose this can change a bit when "opening up" by playing so this review can't provide information on that long term. It is however, definitely not the loudest instrument and doesn't have the amount of sustain as it would be expected from acacia wood.

Ich lobe Produkte ja grundsätzlich lieber, als dass ich sie kritisiere, oder ich schreibe gleich gar nichts.
Aber nach bereits 4 bestellten Ukulelen (2x Flight und 2x Kala) weit über 400EUR bin ich recht ernüchtert.
Eigentlich wollte ich mir als langjähriger Ukulele-Lehrer mal eine g'scheite Ukulele gönnen, und hab somit tiefer in die Tasche gegriffen.
Was kam jeweils: Eine sehr sehr schöne Ukulele, eigentlich mit gutem Sound, doch mindestens zwei Saiten haben gescheppert, die Bundstäbe sind teilweise am Hals übergestanden.
Bei einer sage ich ok, bei zwei sage ich ärgerlich, ab drei wird's krass, ab vier fall ich vom Glauben ab.
Alle meine "Billig-Heimer-Ukus" unter 200EUR waren da besser.
Darf das sein? Nein!
Prüft mal bitte eure Instrumente oder die Factory, das erspart euch/uns viel Kosten, Zeit und Ärger!
