Jackson JS2 Concert Bass Satin Black

Il basso è molto comodo e di buona liuteria, come hardware va molto bene.
Il problema è stata una mancanza di controlli preliminari prima della spedizione.
Aveva il Truss-rod troppo tirato, rendendo lo strumento insuonabile, e dei difetti di saldatura nell' elettronica che creavano un corto circuito parziale, rendendo il pickup al manico muto.
Ho dovuto portare il basso dal liutaio per essere sistemato con ulteriori spese.
Ho segnalato la cosa a Thomann, ma mi dicono che essendo loro solo dei rivenditori Jackson non hanno l'autorizzazione legale a fare dei controlli e ad aprire le scatole.
Un vero peccato, nonostante tutto il basso è buono e ho deciso di tenerlo.

Its a budget bass. I brought this to drag to band practice as it was cheap, light and looked pretty metal. I figured itd be a great bass to have to take from home to practice and if it got dinged in transit or while smashing about in a room with band mates, I wouldnt be too gutted. But I was really surprised at how much i loved playing this bass!
The QC was a bit ropey, some fret sprouting and loose nuts under the pick up control knobs wasn't the end of the world considering what I had payed for it. A quick set up but a local guitar tech sorted that out and now I rarely put this thing down.
The look and feel of this bass while playing tick all the boxes, the sound is just fine for practice but keep in mind that killer matte black finish is a complete finger print magnet! The weight is a huge advantage for long sessions as you barely feel it on your shoulder and its extremely well balanced.
All in all, a great bass as a back up, beginner bass or just something to smash about on because its so fun, but will it undoubtedly be overshadowed buy even the JS3 or something in the £500 range and beyond.
