I got a pair of IGS One LA 500 series (LA-2A) compressors and have been waiting for the IGS 576 for a while now - this gem. It finally came in. It's like a piece of gold in my 10 space rack. I can't believe how good it sounds. With or without the LA. It brings an energy to the track that pushes it to the next level. Incredible! I've owned 7 recording level compressors that have been sold off to get to the 5 that I now have. This one is the best of all I've had, with a close second to the IGS One LA. The only con about this compressor is now I "need" another one. That and the meter text is incredibly small, but I can see the needle move and from that, I know how many dbs are reduced. That's a very minor issue when taken into consideration of how incredible this compressor sounds. It can get gritty when you're pushing it into a nonsensical compression level, but that's another reason I bought it.

I love this compressor

Amazing 1176 blue stripe clone, absolutely gorgeous sound on low end and packs a real punch. Have been lucky enough to use the real thing as well as other clones and this is as close as you need - and for the functionality and price it's the best!

Expect a little low-mid colouration (in a nice 1176 type way) and a hell of a lot of grab! Love it!

Charaktervoller Bluestripe-Sound mit gutem Preis/Leistungsverhältnis

Benutze den 576er seit knapp 2 Jahren im kleinen, aber feinen Heimstudio-Rack vorwiegend zum tracken von Drum-Rooms, Vox (in Kombination mit dem One LA500) und Bass.

Bin bisher sehr zufrieden. Ich habe zwar keinen Vergleich mit anderer 1176er Hardware jedoch mit 1176er (Slate) Plugins in verschiedenen Ausführungen.

Sound:
Der Bluestripe Sound halt - Sehr schnelle und durchsetzungsstarke, charaktervolle Kompression - schön dreckig, mittig & bissig. Wer einen unauffälligeren Kompressor sucht, der sollte lieber zu einem anderen Gerät greifen, wie zb. einem schwarzen, "regulären" 1176er.

Für meine Zwecke ist er genau richtig.

Positives: Sound, Preis/Leistung.
Negatives: Bisher noch nichts entdeckt.

This compressor is great to have in your toolbox! It will always be a part of mine!
iGS did an amazing job at making it sound great and the build quality is second to non! I love that they made a cover that separates its components from the neighboring modules. IGS goes that extra mile!
I recommend this!
