Useful for beginners
This reed came free with my first saxophone. It sure helped me a lot in the struggle of the start, its easier to get a sound from it compared to cane, and you don't have to wet it in advance.
But it is also easier to overblow once you acquired your technique with cane reeds, you have to use very little air.
And, last but sure not least, it sounds very piercing and metallic, which could be a good thing, but it's far from what I'm looking for in a sax sound.
I don't think I would buy this one again, even though I found it more friendly than other reeds at the very beginning.
