Great snare drum case

This is an excellent, sturdy, well made case that will surely protect your snare drum in case anything happens. There are two things I'd say are not the best:
The first one is that the foam pieces that the snare hoop lies on unglued themselves on the first time of using it. As the snare drum is pretty heavy it probably unstuck them while moving inside of the case, which leads me to the second not-the-best thing.
The snare moves a lot inside of the case. If I could've found a case that holds an extra drumhead, but has the "fully lined" option, I'd gladly take it. Now I'm thinking of lining it with a layer of foam all around the edges, but the main concern is how will I access the drumhead if the foam is obstructing me from lifting the compartment.
Anyway, these are minor issues and the case is really excellent.

Way too big for 14-inch snares

Quality of the materials is great but the case it's so wide that I even thought that I had ordered a case for a 15 or 16 inch snare. After checking the item description it did say 14-inches and Thomann's customer support confirmed that there was not error in the description. It is beyond me how one could conclude that the snare wouldn't get damaged by moving around so much inside of the case. The whole reason I bought a hard case to replace my gig bag, was that I didn't have to worry about other people carrying my instrument as carefully as me, or placing other gear on top of it.

As usual, the super team from Thomann offered me that I could return it but it is more of a hassle to pack and ship back. So I settled for adding some towels on the side to "fill the gap". Now I ordered some acoustic foam (two pieces of item 315575) and I now have a lined case hahaha. I hope it lasts and doesn't come off too easily (time will tell).

I would probably rather order a lined one and look for somewhere else to carry my spare heads.

A bit clunky but does what it should do

This case does exactly what it's meant to do: it protects your snare well, stacks easily and isn't too large. The drum head compartment is great, not just for drumheads but also for dampening rings etc.

The case is sturdy but mine tends to creak a bit as I carry it around. The handle is also slightly off-center (when using a 6.5" deep snare) so the case tilts to one side a bit. Nothing terrible but it does bump into your leg a lot while you carry it.

J aurais dû acheter ce produit il y à bien longtemps !!
Quasi indestructible, étanche, empilable, pas de défauts. Une certaine musculature est toutefois nécessaire ! Le prix ? La qualité se paye.
