Gut-A-Like Fat Black Double Bass Strings

Can't stand the Jaco effect playing metal double bass string and Fat Black are just "Gut-A-Like" enough to let your double bass with a nice "Charlie Haden" character. Unfortunately my double bass has a very short scale (103 cm) and tension on third and (most of all) fourth strings is way too low to let them sound and react properly. If you play jazz and you like that kind of fat thump sound Fat Black are a good deal but only your instrument is a 4/4. It take a very long time to keep a decent stable tuning.
