come farei senza!!

è vero.. 10 euro l'uno per queste fretwraps può essere considerato un esagerazione ,però averli ormai mi è diventato fondamentale ..soprattutto in registrazione ,tolgono tutti quegli"indesiderati" suoni che magari si cerca di evitare mentre si suona ,inoltre sono molto estetici e appena messi donano un bell'effetto "prog" al tutto !
Insomma .. top. ;)

extremely useful, very well built but a bit too expensive

i know it's an excessive simplification, but basically the "useful" part of the strings is everything between the nut and the bridge. the string segments between the tuners and the nut can be used for some 0/1 bending effect - but for the rest are basically a potential source of rattles and unwanted vibrations.
here come the string dampeners - of course they can be used in various positions, but the most common is behind the nut.
every absorbing material can be used as a dampener. hair bands, strips of tissue or soft paper... but they're all temporary, ugly, not really effective and quite graceless solutions.
the gruvgear string dampeners fit perfectly (they come in 3 sizes but can be easily adapted anyway), are absolutely effective and are easy and fast to adjust.
the only downside is the price - but they're worth it.

Easy to use and look great

I was looking for something to mute unwanted string noise when recording solos etc, and these had caught my eyes when other guitarists were using them in youtube videos etc. I thought I'd get one for each of my guitars making it slightly better value. They do exactly what they should do, are very easy to use (or stop using!) and they look aesthetically acceptable. Recommended if you need some help muting string noise when recording!
