Gretsch G5655T-QM Electromatic Jr. SPS

Out of the box - Hals, Saitenlage, Intonation perfekt. Sehr sauber verarbeitet, Bünde und Lackierung fehlerfrei. Soundtest: hat den Gretsch "Twäng" und passt auch bei ordentlicher Verzerrung (bis ca. Stufe AC/DC). Ein Highlight ist das Quilted Maple - in Kombi mit der Nickel Hardware - dezent edle Optik. Als Case ist das Gretsch G6238FT ist genau richtig (liegt stabil im Koffer, Bigsby geht sich gut aus). Ich werde noch den Vibramate String Spoiler installieren und hoffe sie bleibt so halbwegs in Tune. Fazit: Kaufempfehlung

Gram na gitarach od ponad 30 lat i mam ich naprawdę sporo, więc rzadko coś robi na mnie aż takie wrażenie. Ten Gretsch zdecydowanie należy do tych wyjątków. Od pierwszego kontaktu czuć, że to instrument z charakterem – reaguje na artykulację, oddaje dynamikę i po prostu inspiruje do grania.

Jeśli chodzi o wykonanie i ustawienie: wszystko jest na bardzo dobrym poziomie. Akcja wygodna, intonacja trzyma, brzmienie pełne, sprężyste, z tym typowym „oddechem” hollow body. Gitara świetnie siedzi w miksie i równie dobrze brzmi solo.

Bigsby – jak to Bigsby – nie jest systemem do „pancernego” stroju, ale to nie jest jego rola. To narzędzie do ekspresji. Da się to bez problemu ogarnąć prostymi patentami – u mnie kluczowa była wymiana mostka na rolkowy. Po tej zmianie stabilność wraca do bardzo dobrego poziomu i można korzystać z vibrato bez stresu.

Jeśli chodzi o współpracę ze sprzętem: gitara rewelacyjnie dogaduje się z modelerami i systemami FRFR (u mnie testowane na Fenderze i Headrushu) – brzmi bardzo czytelnie i dynamicznie. Pod klasycznym wzmacniaczem lampowym (Orange) również wypada znakomicie – ciepło, charakter i „mięsisty” środek.

Podsumowując: bardzo udany instrument, który daje dużo radości z grania i reaguje dokładnie tak, jak tego oczekujesz. Po drobnej modyfikacji mostka – naprawdę trudno się do czegokolwiek przyczepić. Z czystym sumieniem polecam.

A very well made guitar. Stunning looks and beautiful sounding. Covers all genres from jazz to metal. The guitar has a very distinct feeling, rewarding if you play with precision. The Gretsch control layout is very clever and allows quick changing of volume and tone during rehearsals or gigs.
Not optimal: the Bigsby works fairly OK without modifying but not great. I first installed a BiggsFix (necessary according to me) and then a Wilkinson roller bridge (optional). The pressure bar too close to the bridge makes the string angle on the bridge too steep. A higher bar solves that. The Wilkinson makes the bridge hold it's position on the posts and the string roll nicely. A rocking bridge makes me nervous, seems unreliable and prone to change with time. Another small fix: the trem spring is very stiff, I replaced it with a Bigsby original spring in the same height.
I still fully recommend this guitar with it's unique vibe and great Gretsch sound. A little fatter than Filtertrons but still much more interesting than ordinary humbuckers.
