Awesome bridge, really. I’ve been only using Floyd Rose dual locking tremolos (Lo-Pro Edge, actually) or fixed bridges from Gotoh. When I decided to improve my latest purchase, a Stratocaster Player II I knew already that I wanted better hardware than OEM. Gotoh was the obvious choice. Also because I HATE the OEM laver with that awful plastic tip, perceived quality of any Stratocaster drops by 37388 points when my eyes land on that detail, but maybe it’s me…
This bridge is a direct swap, no modifications needed, not the slightest, even if you’ll find someone saying online that requires a bit of filing on the body’s back routing (unless this Player II has different machining, which I highly doubt).
Paired with Fender genuine locking tuners it stays in tune perfectly, you can’t pull the lever as you’d do on a full floating bridge as those you’d find on an Ibanez but still is a lot of fun, smooth action and it flutters in a very precise way, can’t feel a difference with Lo-Pro on this aspect. And, finally, you can set the lever’s position to your taste with a simple Allen wrench!
Great bridge, really.
