Un ottimo sostituto!

Anni fa presi uno sgabello Pork pie dagli USA, qui non erano ancora distribuiti, uno sgabello fantastico che utilizzo tutt'ora per live e studio, comodo e robustissimo. Un paio d'anni fa in tour con la mia band ci rubarono praticamente tutto e a me presero la borsa delle aste dove c'era il suporto per la seduta dello sgabello.
Dopo un po' di disperazione ho preso questo della Gibraltar che va alla grande, è robusto, facilmente settabile e non perde un colpo. Lo consiglio a chi come ha bisogno di un supporto poderoso che gestisca bene un peso non proprio nella media :)

Ottimo, stabile, robusto, regolabile con sicurezza. Compatibile con lo sgabello Pearl D2500 la cui base mi aveva lasciato a piedi... ma la seduta era troppo confortevole per buttarla via senza cercare una nuova base!
Ha un peso notevole, ma altrettanta stabilità, anche in virtù dei piedini in gomma extra large. Professionale

I bought this drum throne base as I needed a throne that could be set higher. It is very sturdy and the height adjustment range is perfect if you're on the taller side.
Pros:
It has a sturdy construction, a decent height adjustment range, and does a good job of staying where it's set.
Cons:
It does not fit properly with Mapex or Millenium seats. The shaft is somewhat narrower than the slots on those seats, resulting in a very loose fit. However, that is to be expected as it is not marketed as compatible with other brands.

Well, it is a Gibraltar product, so sturdiness is not even a question. The word "roadworthy" is not even close to describe this. Setting it up and tearing it down is easy, and with the provided memory lock, the sitting-height stays where you set up till the end of time! It is heavy, but it has to be for stability. Only drawback is if you want to sit very low, you'll need a different throne base. This will not allow you to sit very low, but if you are tall, it may suit you. For average height, this works perfectly for parallel (legs and ground) or raised (above parallel) sitting position. Maybe even slightly below parallel, but that is not the best way to sit on a drum throne. This product is highly recommended!
