Nice ebony and comfortable

This shoulder rest is made out of beautifully smooth hard ebony and its shape is one of the most comfortable I personally have tried. The lip tucks under my jaw but does not put pressure on the jaw bone itself, which helps me keep the violin up without discomfort. I think that this is a great value and a great chin rest.
