Fred Kelly Picks Delrin Slick Regular Heavy Set

I had to buy a set of thumbpicks to replace an old piece that didn't fit well. It is a bit tight for me, the circumference of my thumb being about 6,5 to 7 cm. My recommendation is to try the large set if you have comparable thumbs to mine.
Back to the product. What else is there to say? The pick does what it's supposed to, even though it's a tight fit, I could still play for a while. It does not twist or slip off and the material seems durable enough.

Exceptional picks as always from Fred Kelly. The delrin produces a really soft and warm tone that balances well with the finger nail tone, for me at least. These thumb picks would also be a good choice for a finger picker wanting to tame a brighter guitar a little.

The fit is comfortable and the pick doesn’t move at all during use. As always the blade is quite long, way longer than I prefer but the delrin material is really easy to file down to preference.

Just a really nice thumbpick which will always be part of my rotation.

Immer mal wieder hatte ich von diesen Daumenpicks gehört, ihnen jedoch keine größere Bedeutung beigemessen. Da ich immer unzufriedener mit dem Klang meiner bisher genutzten Picks geworden war ( es fehlten mir die Wärme und die Fülle ), probierte ich die Slick Picks aus und schon nach dem ersten Ton war klar, dass diese Picks anders sind und genau diesem Anspruch nach Fülle und Wärme gerecht werden. Dies hat meiner Ansicht nach folgende Gründe:
- Die Spitze ist anders geformt, sodass eine größere Fläche und nicht die Pickspitze die Saite trifft.
- Die Pickspitze ist kürzer, sodass mehr Energie direkt umgesetzt wird und man zudem deutlich mehr Kontrolle und zudem weniger „Klickgeräusche“ hat.
Der Pick ist insgesamt zierlicher und schmaler, sitzt aber perfekt und verrutscht nicht beim Spielen, nichts drückt.
Fazit: Eine klare Empfehlung für alle, die mit Picks spielen und einen vollen runden Klang wollen. In Kombination mit den Dunlop Neusilber Fingerpicks (`025) perfekt.
Es sind manchmal die kleinen Dinge, die einen großen Effekt haben.
