The John Lennon Guitar

This is a rather particular type of guitar.
It's more a classical flat fretboard 12 String. It's very light and more hollow feeling than other acoustics as it's laminated. After 50 years John Lennons Framus Hootenanny was found and sold at auction for over £2.8m. The fourth most amount paid for a guitar in history. Naturally with this Framus made a reissue. This is a niche guitar and I feel is more suited to Beatles fanatics who would like to replace the sound of Hide your love away, Help, It's only Love, I've Just Seen a Face etc. I had mine set up by Thomann as it has a floating bridge and is 12 string so wanted an expert to find the sweet spot for the bridge. This guitar was easier to play than I thought it would be given the wide neck. Flat fretboard and 12 string which I've never played before. It has a unique and sweet sound to it. I kept mine due to the Beatles connection and I don't have anything else like it in my collection.

Ich habe mir die Gitarre hauptsächlich gekauft weil ich großer Beatles Fan bin und ich schon ewig nach dieser Gitarre gesucht habe.
Ich finde alles gut.
Sie hat einen mega Klang wie das Original und ist auch Gut verarbeitet.
Was ich auch mega finde ist das Tortoise Pickguard.
Ich finde es Schade dass diese Gitarre nur 3 Sterne hat da sie wirklich mega ist.

Kann ich nur Weiterempfehlen ( Vor allem an Beatles Fans)

Große Erwartungen und große Enttäuschung

Wie in der Überschrift geschrieben, hatte ich große Erfahrungen in diese wiederaufgelegte Gitarre, habe mich nicht zuletzt wegen der 50er Sattelbreite und dem Tailpiece für diese Gitarre entschieden. Rein optisch macht diese auch einen guten Eindruck, allerdings ist die Saitenführung der E6 und A5 und deren Oktavsaiten etwas unglücklich, da biegt sich die A5 Saite um den Tuner der E6 Saite, habe ich so noch nicht gesehen. Der Klang ist sehr enttäuschend, klingt etwas nach (Sorry für den Ausdruck) Kindergitarre, von einer 12-Saitigen hätte ich mehr erwartet.

Seulement pour les Fans des Beatles

On reconnaît là, très vite le son de John Lennon première époque Beatles (help!). Petite guitare, petite lutherie avec un son très medium qui nous rappel les sonorités d'une mandoline ou d'un banjo. Un manche sans radius façon guitare classique avec une frette zéro qui facilite le jeux grasse à une action basse. Il en résulte une très bonne projection sonore qui intéressera assurément les fans des Beatles.
