Clean klingen sie sehr schön klar, wie man es sich von einer Stratocaster wünscht, im Crunch-Bereich gefallen sie mir aber erst so richtig gut. Oft klingt eine Strat hier ja - vor allem im Trio - etwas zu dünn und spitz. Das ist bei den 73ern nicht so - man erhält selbst an der Bridge einen satten und vollen Ton, der auch meinen Bandkollegen Spaß gemacht hat ;-)

Great pickups indeed.
Compared side by side with Pure Vintage 59, they're more mid focused, snappier and modern. I'd say they're right in between Tex Mex and 59.
I put them on my old Jimmie Vaughan Tex Mex Stratocaster from 1996. It's totally beat up, great guitar. The yellowed pick-up covers fit beatiffully the natural reliced look of my Strat.
Very happy with the 73 pickups. My luthier, who knows a thing about vintage guitars, told me they where near perfect replicas, minus the slight demagnitized effect you can't get without waiting 50 years. Top👍
