why not strat sound

i picked up white as black was not on stock. now fitting to my all black ibanez quite nicely :) for the sound,
+it really sound like single/strat (maybe not strat?), what else you would expect. lower output than humbucker and that is purpose too. but it's active and all the accessories are solderless.
-you might want to seek for pickguard to mount it instead of using drilling into wood or sticking with adhesive - you don't want to do it as you need the height adjustment by any means! if not, you might want to get a pickup frame for strats like ibanez rg, and you also might have issue with size of springs, it should go completely under the frame, so you can fully dive pickup into body. no half solutions, do it properly :) i got one small scratch on pickup body, which is not issue at all, but i would not expect this from EMG. fullstop :D

EMG SA - Die perfekte Ergänzung

Meine Strandberg Boden 6 Classic kommt mit passiven Pickups von eher mittlerer bis schlechter Qualität.
Nachdem ich sie auf 1x EMG81 am Steg umgebaut hatte, fehlten mir doch die stratartigen Singlecoilsounds. Hab die Strandberg jetzt noch um 2x EMG SA ergänzt, somit wieder von den Pickups in Originalkonfiguration, allerdings jetzt aktiv. Bombensound, keine Nebengeräusche und die SA passe perfekt zum 81er am Steg.....
