Great tone, sloppy QC

I bought a Starplayer TV Vintage Burst - excelent top, excelent neck, amazing setup, amazing vibrato unit. The sound is killer.
Had to return it, though, as the QC was pretty sloppy - binding masking/scraping issues (rough paint edges, overspray on the top binding and f-hole, what looked like cracks in the binding), the pickup rings had scratches around the pickup height screws, a small crack starting from one of the pickup ring screws, and a weird functioning volume pot (it got stuck at the maximum level and had to be turned back with two fingers - it was like it was touching something and the friction made it turn hard). It seems that many of the late Starplayer TVs have issues with binding (a quick search on this website and other vendors websites shows rough edges, overspray etc.). I was assured by Duesenberg that those rough edges are not ok for an A grade instrument, according to their standards. For the price of the instrument, it is very weird I came across these issues.

Top Allrounder Gitarre!

Diese Gitarre ist ein Traum für mich! Sie verbindet alle Features traditioneller Halbakustik-Gitarren mit neuen Ideen und extrem vielseitigen Sounds bei perfekter Seitenlage und Bespielbarkeit. Ich bin immer noch erstaunt, wie viele Sounds diese Gitarre erzeugen kann, mit flat eingestelltem Amp und ich spiele keine Jazzmusik, sondern Pop, Rock und Blues. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Einzigartig im Sound. Eigenständig und nicht vergleichbar.
Die Verarbeitung, Soundvielfalt, der visuelle Effekt und das Handling auf der Bühne und zu Hause ist atemberaubend. Tele-, Strat- und Paula-Spieler werden Sie nach einer gewissen Eingewöhnungsphase lieben.
Fazit: Ein wirkliches Muss für jeden Gitarrist. Gitarre Sound pur ohne Wenn und Aber. Plus: Sehr schnell in der Ansprache. Minus: Verzeit keine Ungenauigkeiten. Der Preis für diese Gitarre ist gerechtfertigt und jede Spiel Sekunde wert.
Kaufempfehlung: Jederzeit wieder!!!

Habe mir die Starplayer TV vor 3 Jahren bei Thomann geholt und bin immer noch zufrieden wie am ersten Tag. Der Klang und die Bespielbarkeit sind großartig. Clean und Break up/Crunch sind ihre Domäne, der Humbucker kann aber auch ordentlich Gas geben. Mit der Zeit nimmt die Nickel Hardware eine matte Patina an, kann durch Polieren aber wieder auf Hochglanz gebracht werden. Auf den Bünden sind trotz regelmässigen Gebrauchs kaum Abnutzungserscheinungen zu sehen.
Ich würde mir die Starplayer TV jederzeit wieder zulegen, sie ist ihren Preis wert.
