I own all three of the dragonfly beaters. My favorite one is the medium kanvas one...
This soft flannel beater has no attack, and it's quiet.
It's really cool if you're playing with brushes, and you want to add some bass drum strokes especially if you're a bebop drummer.
The weight is similar to the vater bomber. The attack and volume is lower than the vater bomber.

Excellent quality and durability thanks to the many layers of felt.

Although the beater is quite heavy, the attack is soft and the sound is quiet enough for acoustic jazz in small rooms. Beater allows you to play at normal power without changing technique for a quieter sound. This beater is also definitely more durable than the Vater VBVB Vintage and VicFirth VFVKB3

Super flexibler Beater

Ich hab mir das gute Stück vor ein paar Wochen gekauft und an meinen Bassdrums (16, 20, 22) ausprobiert. Die 16er und 20er Bassdrums sind eher jazzig orientiert, also wenig Dämpfung und auf Ton gestimmt, die 22er ist eher punchig und auf Rock ausgelegt.

An allen Bassdrums holt der Beater Subbässe raus, die ich vorher noch nicht gehört habe und die sehr viel Spass machen.

Die Attack ist zwischen medium und weich. Zum Vergleich, die FleeceBeater von VicFirth sind nochmal 2 Level weicher. Das Spielgefühl ist aber trotzdem sehr direkt. Die Verarbeitung ist absolut top.
