DiMarzio DP409 Heavy Blues 2 Wh

I’ve always been a H-H guitar guy, getting old I decided to get myself a Strato Player II, but I was well aware that OEM pickups on these “cheap” Fender are not THAT good. I put together this, an Area61 in the middle and a Super Distortion in bridge position. Wired everything with the “Tyler” switching and… DAMN: this thing plays WAY better than I’d expect from such a guitar. Sounds very smooth and full, thins up in position 4 as you’d expect but with a great output, still holds a lot of sustain and no harshness at all from the Area61 (that plays great even by itself, super usable both with cleans and crunch sounds). Super Distortion needs no introductions, it’s a classic.
