As you'd expect from a Denis Wick mute the build quality is very good but, for me, the sound quality is a bit thin. Problem is that there aren't many straight mutes that fit the small throat of a D Trumpet

Works well with plunger mute

Brought as an alternative to the B&H straight mute/ plunger combo for a traditional jazz trumpet sound. Used with a Bb trumpet. Can also work on its own if you need a compact straight mute in your bag which can blend in a big band section in a pinch.

Easy response, brighter tone than the Bb sized straight mutes. Can play both low and high without too much back pressure.

Cannot comment on use with a D or Eb trumpet as not used with those sized horns.

This mute not only looks good it also sounds good. Clear sounding, and in tune throughout the whole range. I consider this mute to be also extremely good value.

Für D-/Es-Trompete. Verwende diesen Dämpfer für Yamaha YTR-6610S (ES/D). Harmoniert wunderbar. Sehr empfehlenswert. Preis/Leistung Spitze !
