What can I say? I had dreamed of owning a Dean ML ever since I was a kid, and being able to make that dream come true makes me genuinely happy.
Buying this guitar makes sense if you’re a fan of Pantera and Dimebag Darrell, thanks to its iconic ML body shape and its tone, which—with the right settings and EQ adjustments—can come remarkably close to Dime’s tipical sound.
That said, when it comes to overall quality, I believe there are better-built guitars available at this price point. In my opinion, the main drawback of this guitar is the Floyd Rose Special. Even when properly set up, it isn’t perfect, and with very heavy use of the tremolo bar, it may lose tuning slightly. If you want a bridge that maintains tuning flawlessly, even under extremely aggressive and constant tremolo use, upgrading to a higher-quality Floyd Rose would be advisable.
The guitar is manufactured in India. Overall, I can say that it feels solid and well-built, and I haven’t noticed any particular cosmetic defects.
