dB Technologies SUB 612

Li ho utilizzati all'aperto in coppia abbinati alle opera 10, devo dire che sono l'abbinata ideale anche per dimensioni e pesi. infatti i sub hanno la stessa altezza delle opera 10 e si trasportano bene in una normale station wagon, occupando poco posto. la resa è buona anche se ho notato che clippano prima delle casse, infatti ho abbassato il master del sub a 3/4 per farlo clippare meno. se avesse qualche watt in più sarebbe stato il top sul mercato, ma va già bene cosi. raddoppiando l'impianto si riuscirebbe a fare "qualsiasi" evento in scioltezza. ho preso anche le cover che calzano giuste.

Positive:
- Price
- Weight (just 19kg)
- Chassis quality

Negative:
- Confusing sound, missing all the punch. Just rumble...for me.
- Not so different to use a 12" full range speaker on the floor..
- No crossover settings. I don't even understand how you can produce an active subwoofer without a crossoverd output, at least 2-3 settings..(80hz, 100,hz 120hz).
- 600w RMS / 1200 peak not true. But nowdays it's a standard for some manufacturers to lie about power. Trust just in respectable brands (EV, HK Audio, QSC...)

For the price I can recommend the purchase, but if you are looking for a sub that will make a difference for your gigs (DJ or band), you have to spend at least 600-800€, for a 500/600w RMS - 1200-1500w peak, 12" or 15".
