Dawner Prince Red Rox Distortion

Il suono del Redrox ha questo piccolo grosso difetto del taglio sulle frequenze alte, se avete un ampli con molto gain e compresso in partenza con un cono puntato sulle medie il Redrox non credo sia una buona scelta.
Con il mio Evh da 15w (con Celestion V30) di fatto non c’è modo ti tirare fuori le frequenze alte ma tira a martello solo vagonate rocciose di medie mentre sul Victory V30 (con Celestion Creamback65) è un pedale da pura goduria sonora.
Il suo punto di forza è il sound hard rock anni 80, ha queste medie rocciose e potenti che ti portano a suonare a cannone gli AC/DC e tutto quello che vi viene in mente nel panorama hard rock degli anni d’oro 80/90.
La costruzione del pedale è fatta molto bene in metallo ed al tatto si sente che è un prodotto realizzato con cura.
Lo consiglio di sicuro come detto ma fate attenzione al vostro cono.

Il pedale è sicuramente di qualità e a bassi valori di gain è molto interessante con una strato. Tuttavia, via via che il gain viene aumentato, il tono diventa scuro e non può essere sistemato con i controlli di equalizzazione disponibili. Purtroppo chiederò il reso per questo.

Aggiornamento: questo sui miei ampli (Brunetti SingleMan e D'Angelo Chicago 40), mentre sul Fender Super Reverb di un amico suona bene e non è affatto scuro.

The Dawner Prince Red Rox is simply one of the finest distortion pedals for single coil guitars I have ever used. I use guitars equipped with humbuckers and single coils, and this pedal can make any guitar shine. But in my opinion it is combined with single coils (both my strat and tele) that this pedal really comes to life. I goes from a mild overdrive for rhythm parts to big fat plexi tones for impressive lead sounds. I cannot recommend this pedal enough if you are looking for an extra option on your pedal board next to your tubescreamer for way more tonal options. It dials in super easy, the controls are great. For rock and hardrock It is much better than the strymon sunset, or any boss/ marshall overdrive pedal that I have used in the past. I use a single channel tube amp and with this pedal in front I can almost get any tone I want (except many for the cleaner blues tones- for that I believe there are better options). It also combines very nicely with my les Paul by the way... however especially anyone looking for a good fat drive pedal for single coils without immediately going into fuzz-territory should check this pedal out! It also works great when stacked, I use a clean boost in front for solo's and even sometimes a Boss equalizer to boost the mids. All works right as rain. Simply unbeatable, especially in this price range.
