Great case but latches are a problem

Bought the case in 2022. Just over 2 years later the latches began to fail. This put them outside the manufacturers warranty but still within Thomann's extended warranty. The case is still under 3 years old and 3 latches have failed at this stage. I ended up ordering 5 replacement latches from Bam, in addition to the 3 I received via the warranty. The latches can be replaced if you have a pop rivet gun and an extra pair of hands. Bam include an instructional video on their site, but for an expensive case this shouldn't be such an issue. Compliments on the case itself but I think these latches are a real problem. I know of other musicians having the same problem.

Problem with locks

I got my BAM case in 2020 and was very happy with it for the first 3-4 years. Within the last year however the locks to close it started breaking. There is a plastic part in them that has broken off in 3 out of 5 locks. This seems to be a thing that happens with age, and of course the three year guarantee has run out... I understand that plastic is probably used so the weight remains very light, but if you pay 1300 Euro for a product I think it should last longer than 5 years... Price does not reflect the quality

Das Material des Panther ist erstklassig und sehr hochwertig. Er ist mega stabil und mein Cello ist top geschützt. Ich verwende seit langem GEWA-Kästen (Idea Titanium Carbon), die allerdings aufgrund der Überlappung beim Verschluss wesentlich größer sind, als die BAM-Kästen. Daher musste jetzt der Panther her :-)

In der Verarbeitung gebe ich deshalb nur 4 Sterne, da es ein zwei Kleinigkeiten gibt, die in der Praxis nicht so praktikabel sind: Die Gummischlaufe für den Stachel im Kasten sollte durch etwas Praktischeres ersetzt werden. (Wie bei GEWA eher eine "Schwelle"). Der Halter am Hals sollte noch einen Schutz zwischen Saiten und Verschluss haben, dann wär auch der perfekt. An meiner ZUbehörtasche ist auf der Rückseite zwar ein Klettverschluss, allerdings ist am Kasten kein Klettverschluss und die Tasche ist eigentlich fix mit dem Kasten verbunden. Es könnte oben bei der Schnecke anstatt der Schlaufe noch ein kleiner Polster sein. Das würde mehr schützen, als die meiner Meinung nach nicht notwendige Schlaufe.

Ansonsten ist er wirklich jeden Cent wert, kann ich nur empfehlen!
