Really a great upgrade: for just a few bucks, you get what a lot of active 8-string guitars don't have—an active EQ. Now I can shape the sound the way I want it, without changing the pickups. The sound is way better than stock (you can go up to 18V of boost), but the wiring instructions are just a simple drawing. The rest is up to your imagination. But hey, it costs way less than a couple of new pickups.
