What for? Small and medium size venues, rehearsal room.
Pros: relatively light weight, enormous power, amazingly good bass response even without the sub (Alto obviously) that I am adding. My band has been using 3 earlier versions of this speaker for more than half a dozen years - as monitors and occasionally front of house tops. They have been utterly reliable and tough, despite being moved around without covers for dozens and dozens of gigs, often outside. In my opinion the 10" are the best Alto full range speakers. There is no need to go bigger for our size of gigs. The DSP, Sub selection choice, 2 channel mixer and Bluetooth (which enables you to personalise the EQ response if you are so minded) add to the versatility of the speakers which I hope will give the same loyal service as the old ones, which by the way, are not being retired, they will continue to serve a floor monitors. FWIW I also own a pair of TX308 tops which are also brilliant for small spaces.
Bluetooth. I was sceptical about this, but after turning the speakers on one at a time I added them both to the app. The left hand speaker is the 'master', so you connect to that, turn the other one on and press the stereo link button on the left speaker and hey presto it's done. It also seems that the stereo link 'sticks' because in subsequent sessions when I have changed a parameter on the master speaker the other one changes to match. Very impressive.
I have now added a TX12S as a sub, the TS12S was definitely going to be too powerful for what I need. I have it turned way down!
Cons: I really don't have anything negative to say about them. They are perfect for my demands.
