You understand this only when you start working with it.

- Plenty of different new sounds, including the legacy ones from late '90s - 2000, have you covered.

- Speakers are powerful enough to enjoy playing. EQs are available too.

- The real-time controls make a huge difference in refining sounds and find the right mood of the moment. There comes inspiration and this makes the difference. An expression pedal adds even more control to this, specially strings instruments.

- Touch operation and the OS are very clear and offer a lot of options and customizations.

VST instruments are generally more powerful and customizable. However, a standalone workstation helps on capturing ideas and focus on content without distraction. Even better when it sounds as good as or even better than virtual instruments. Having both is certainly better.

ps. You can also learn different arranging and orchestrating techniques and styles thanks to the included styles, even if you don't use them. Definitely a plus to have.
