Fine cable but STOP - there are better value alternatives available on Thomann

If you've had this cable automatically added to your basket from Thomann as a UK customer purchasing an item that uses Powercon and comes with an EU cable as standard, no problems, this is a fine and perfectly adequate cable... but if you're reading this thinking of actually purchasing this cable, read on...

There is a far better cable available from Thomann which is actually cheaper. Search 'Stairville Power Twist Cable UK' and you will find a 3m cable that's currently CHEAPER than this cable, and also you'll find a 5m version which is only around £1 more expensive. These are both far more usable lengths than 1.5m.

The biggest bonus is though, they use H07RN-F cable, It's extremely heavy duty, durable, coils like a dream and lays completely flat across the stage with no kinks or twists. It's a much more pro feeling cable.

Again, nothing at all wrong with this, but thought I'd take the time to mention the better product in case people hadn't found it on the website.

OK quality but not much use

I got 2 of these in a bundle when I spent 1K on speakers, the quality is OK, but 1.5M is totally useless to me, and I suspect many others. I ended up cutting the powercon connector off and making a much longer lead to suit my purposes. THOMANN you should give your customers the opportunity to pay a few extra euros and get a lead the length they can use, instead of sending 80% of the supplied lead to landfill. Room for improvement, as my old teacher used to say.

Its a powercon Power cord at a reasonable length. Got provided free as I purchased a Stairville pixel panel and as shipped to the UK a free UK plug was provided. Not much else i can say as they are just an power con cable.

Proper Neutrik PowerCon, but rather stiff PVC cable rather than H07 rubber flex.

A good product. Even better when Thomann ship this FOC to UK customer in place of the Europlug cable bundled with the product you're buying this with.

Separately this is a decent cable, but I would probably make my own for less money (and using H07) if I wasn't getting it FOC with another product.

Proper quality cable with a moulded BS fused uk 13 amp to a genuine Neutrik Powercon input connector.

Gonna go straight in the spares bin as the Botex will be powered with a 16a ceeform but still a very nice short powercon cable that might well save my ass one day!

Thick and quality cable

This cable came part of a speaker bundle.

They are thick, durable and well made. I have every assurance that they are quality in regards to safety and durability.

The only downside is that 1.5m is way too short for the speaker bundle they were supplied with.

I used to make up my own cables like these but it took so long and the components are expensive. These are a perfect length and quality for general purpose use. They are all over my theatre now.

Thomann sent these to replace a European Shuko plugged cable with some equipment I purchased, but that cable was 2.5²mm cable and this is only 1.5²mm so if like me you were planning to add a 16amp plug, add the plug on to the original cable.
