a bit light weight

I was expecting something a bit better quality of for the price ( I bought an identical mallet from china for a third of the price of this)
The mallet is too light and not enough padding to give good sound. I have ended up taking the mallet apart and padding the inside with cotton wool.
Average mallet, no good for larger gongs. Its just a piece of hard plastic with a thin padding covered by a thin layer of fleece. A softwood handle fixed with a small cheap screw completes it.

Great gong mallet! High quality. feels good and balanced in the hand, and brings out beautiful tones and overtones in my gong. Great stuff Thomann!

Very good if you are looking for a very SOFT mallet - Molto buono se lo vuoi molto morbido

If you are looking for a really soft touch mallet, this is perfect ad at a very reasonable price.
Obviously, being a very soft mallet, the gong / tamtam sound is not so rich as when you use an harder one, but using this you can really produce vibrations without the hits "rumors" ...
