Used it a couple of times, then retired it on a shelf.
It's fun, granted! But with fully fledged sampler in the room I'm just not motivated to reach for it anytime. It's not like it has some cool functions that makes it special, even.
I can recommend it to you if:
- you are trying out sampling for the first time
- you are a sucker (as I am) for cool, "design" things
- you plan to travel a lot, since it's really portable
Prices are crazy though, when I first bought it it was around 50€. Maybe look elsewhere for cheap sampling, especially if you want/need midi and a couple more I/O options. Keep in mind it would need some sort of plastic or rubber cover (the originals are pricy and would not protect the rear panel! Some options on Etsy) that will obscure the symbols and glyphs printed on the motherboard, making it harder to know what every button do. A lot of practice and good muscle memory are required imho to play properly with it! And since it is gen 1 of the PO serie you will need to physically remove the batteries to turn it off. A big MEH in my book, new models can be turned off with the press of a combination of buttons.
