Soldano SLO Plus Overdrive

I have a Soldano SLO 100 in the Snake Skin finish which I obviously love. One of the amazing things about the SLO is the Crunch channel which offers a huge amount of tone dialling from rich full cleans to crunchy lead tones that ring with great clarity. The lead channel is just amazing as expected. I also have the normal SLO Overdrive pedal and this one just completes the whole pedal thing that can do the SLO tones very well.
This pedal renders dynamic tones and it responds well to the volume pot and touch. So, if you want to get that tone at gigs that don't require taking your precious SLO out on the road or you simply want to access the Soldano sound at a fraction of the price, this is the way to go. Get them while they are still available. Great stuff from Soldano.

Erst mal moin.

Hab` mir das Teil bestellt, weil ich ca. seit 1987 immer einen Soldano wollte und das an diversen Hemmnissen jeweils gescheitert war: Geld, Veto der Chefin, schlechtes Gewissen etc. ... Jetzt für gut 300.- Eurekas hab ich zumindest mal was, wo Soldano druffstehen tut...

Sound: sehr gut für ein röhrenfreies Teil, trotzdem finde ich meine alten Ibanez Tube Kings, Blackstar HTdists und H&K Tubemänner klanglich besser.

Verarbeitung: eine böse Schande - das Teil war nicht (richtig) geerdet... hat im Zerrkanal bei Gain ab ca. 13-14h hemmungslos gebrummt und gleichzeitig gefiept, wie es mir bei noch nix anderem bisher widerfuhr. Der Effekt war jedoch sofort völlich wech bei Berührung eines der zwei Fußschalter => habe mir gedenkt, dass da was mit der Erdung unrund ist => eine Strippe vom Schalter zur Ausgangsbuchse gelegt und Problem war behoben. Hätte es zurückschicken können, aber den Sound finde ich doch recht gut, aber auch nicht so überragend, wie momentan alle tun...
Interessant wäre, ob diese Unerdung auch bei anderen vorkommt, oder nur bei dem meinichen...?
