Solid and good fit
I tried lots of hard cases for shipping/touring adn in teh end these SKB type seemed to be the best. One thing that often annoys me is how they oversize them - i hate anything being bigger/heavier than it needs to be and for the snare, this was great.

Another great SKB case
I'm gradually replacing all my old Protechtor cases with SKB. Why, because they are simply the best.
Just one thing to watch for on this one though, on the floor tom and bass drum cases I recently bought, there was a little overage on the depth (meaning a little bit of space that I could put spare heads in etc). With this one though, that's not the case. It is exactly 4 inches deep and the gladstone pad that I keep on top of my snare drum means that the lid doesn't quite shut flush.
Not a huge issue, but you might want to go for the next model up (5.5 inches deep I think) if you do want to keep a practice pad or your rims are a little high.
