As good as any cane reed I have ever played.
My first Silverstein reed was a strength 2.5+ Alta Vivace and was perfect but I decided to try a strength 3. Unfortunately, this reed would not play owing to being very unbalanced. Thomann kindly exchanged it for me for another strength 3 Alta Vivace which played very well. It was slightly too strong for me but I was able to adjust it easily using the Ridenour ATG method and now it plays perfectly.
