The SE Electronic 4400 mic is hands down one of the best I’ve used. The sound quality is super clear, and it picks up even the smallest details without any distortion. It feels solid too—durable and built to last. Whether I’m recording vocals, it always delivers. The setup was easy, and I never had any issues with it. Definitely a reliable mic, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for top-notch performance

You’re wrong if you think you can find a better microphone for this price. All those other budget options under €500—and even many under €1000—don’t hold a candle to this little gem!

sE4400 vs Sennheiser MK 8

Ich wollte mir ein vielseitiges Großmembranmikrofon zulegen und habe mich dann auf das sE4400 und das Sennheiser MK 8 festgelegt und beide miteinander verglichen.
Das Positive vorweg. Das sE4400 ist wirklich hochwertig verarbeitet und das Design der Spinne ist sehr gelungen.
Schade finde ich, dass das sE4400 keine Breite Niere hat und auch die beiden Tiefpassfilter finde ich nicht wirklich sinnvoll gewählt. Das 40 Hz -6db bringt in der Praxis keinen wirklichen Mehrwert. Sennheiser hat das mit 60 Hz -18 dB/Oktave und 100 Hz - 6 dB/Oktave deutlich besser gelöst. Kommen wir zum wichtigsten, dem Sound:
Das sE4400 klingt ausgewogen, im Vergleich zum MK 8 sind die mitten mehr im Vordergrund. Wenn man beim sE4400 die Höhen mit einem EQ anhebt hört man leider eine leichte Tendenz zur härte. Das MK 8 klingt deutlich schöner/weicher in den Höhen. Auch hat das MK 8 eine höhere Auflösung und klingt insgesamt "aufregender" als das sE4400. Ich habe mich deshalb für das Sennheiser MK 8 entschieden.
Wer die 200 Euro mehr jedoch nicht hat oder nicht ausgeben will bekommt aber auch mit dem sE4400 ein sehr gutes Mikrofon.
