Quadrature sine oscillator with filter and waveshaper
SPIN section: Quadrature sine wave oscillator with 4 outputs (0°, 90°, 180°, 270°) and tracking over 4 octaves
GRIND section: Compares the SPIN outputs with an input signal and derives square wave signals which are fed into a VCA and modulated by the 4 GRIND CV inputs and GRIND fader
Depending on the setting, the module functions as an oscillator or state variable filter
Controls for coarse and fine tuning, attenuation, GRIND/SPIN ratio
FM input with attenuator (linear or exponential)
GRIND input with attenuator
4 SPIN outputs provide phase-shifted sinusoidal signals or in filter mode low-pass, band-pass, high-pass and notch characteristics

This module packs a lot of features and sure is a hell of a lot of fun. It is a really nice sounding filter (with 4 modes) and can act as a nice voice (it tracks volts per octave really well). It can also act as a very brutal wave shaper/distortion. It can play nice or sound like some malfunctioning instrument. It is probably not for the faint of heart as it can get pretty extreme very easily. It can also take some time to understand how it functions as well.

La meule grinde très bien

Quand tu aimes les modules inventifs hors normes et de bonne facture alors avec schlappi engeenring tu es servi. Ce module à un son précis, velouté et très actuel. Le posséder en premier oscillateur peut s’avérer être périlleux. (Pour ma part j’ai toujours voulu l’avoir mais je me suis fait la main sur un dpo avant). Mais avec AG c’est une aventure. Ça grésille, ça hurle, c’est beau dans des lignes simples sans ajout d’harmoniques. Tu peux waveshaper des lignes de basses, des noises, instru bref c’est open…. Un conseil avoir des enveloppes ou un générateur de fonction dédié avec un vca ou deux pour pouvoir en tirer le Max. Si tu as l’interstellar radio couplé c’est des paysages noises et dronis qui s’offre à toi. La zone filtre quand à elle est tout bonnement magnifique. Bref un oscillateur à posséder sans hésitation. Un marque à soutenir et à garder dans son rack. Merci schlappi de nous livrer des modules de cette qualité, de cette invention avec un vrai parti pris dans la conception. J’adore . Bravo 10/10.
