Great value mouthpiece

I bought this mouthpiece to replace the one that came with my Euphonium that was made in China. The instrument itself is of excellent quality but the stock mouthpiece really let it down. I couldn't believe the quality of this mouthpiece for such a low price. It has a very mellow response in the middle and high registers but can be a little thin in the bass end. It feels very comfortable and the cup depth is ideal for me as an inexperienced player. The manufactured quality is remarkable and has great volume too.

Schilke 60 Bassposaunenmundstück

Bisher habe ich auf dem Denis Wick 1AL Heritage gespielt, und das bleibt auch erstmal so. Das Schilke 60 bekam ich vom einem bekannten Bassposaunenstudenten empfohlen. Riesig am Mund, und wirkt nicht ganz so hochwertig wie das DW. Ich kam damit tiefer als sonst (bis Kontra-E), und das f' war auch kein Problem, darüber wurde es schwammig, also sprich zu weich und unpräzise im Anstoß, wenig zentriert. Für die klassische Bassposaunenlage also sehr gut geeignet (wegen des schmalen Randes auch sehr flexibel handhabbar), aber auf keinen Fall ein Allroundmundstück für die BaPo. Ausschlaggebend für die Rücksendung waren letztlich der zu weiche Klang in der mittleren und hohen Lage sowie die Präsenz des Klangs in allen Lagen. Es klingt wunderbar weich. Aber die Brillanz des Tones fehlt mir.

je joue du trombone basse depuis 4 ans mais ici en Belgique pour trouver un luthier,marchand d'instrument c'est pas facile,je suis aller en France et en Espagne (en vacance)rien de spécial non plus.en ce moment j'ai acheter 7 embouchures Bach 1/4GM,1G et 4 Dewis Wick,Courtois 1/2,et maintenant je suis très satisfait sur cette embouchure Schilke 60. en plus avec votre société Thomann la livraison à été très rapide.un grand merci
