Best banjo pickup I've tested
coco777 21.01.2019
For months I've been using cheap pickups to amplify my banjo, then one day I decided to buy this one.
It's a very effective pickup that gives the authentic sound of your banjo through the speakers, although I recommend using a good acoustic preamp with it.
Unlike microphones, this pickup is not prone to feedback during gigs, this is a relieve.
It is easy to mount on your banjo and does not require you to drill holes, move the bridge or anything.
The pickup comes with an epoxy glue that is intended to glue it to the back of your banjo head, BUT this would be a permanent installation.
It also comes with double side adhesive paper, which I used as an alternative to epoxy so I can take it off and put it back anytime I want.
The wire is thin and may be fragile, I recommend tying it with colsons at different places so it won't be ripped off by a wrong move. If you are careful with it, you should have it for a long time.
Overall, it is a great reliable pickup that delivers a natural sound of your banjo.
