Sabian AAX Promo Cymbal Set

Having spent hours listening to YouTube comparisons and samples of the AAX line and Zildjian A custom, the AAX were just crisp and precise with minimal overtones to my ear and that was the sound I wanted.

The quality of these cymbals is absolutely top notch, and good value for money. The crash cymbals in particular really cut through with their brightness.

If there is a weakness in the set, it’s the ride. As others have noted the bell is a bit weak, and according to Sabian website intentionally small. The design is to make the cymbal more crashable, but not the way I will use it personally.

I’ve added the 10” splash and planning for the ozone crash and aero splash soon.

If you are looking for a quality starter pack of cymbals to build from, you won’t find many better than this set!
