Reloop Buddy

The product creates a lot of static noise in both headset and master output making it useless. The intent was to use DJ Pro on iPad with Focal5 speakers.

If tried different combinations to fix this:

Power supply:
- Dell Latitude PC
- Dedicated 108W USB power supply (without any other devices connected)
- Battery pack
- All above connected to DJ Buddy with bundled purple USB cable with ferrite box

Device to run DJ Pro and connection to Buddy:
- iPad (quality USB-C cable)
- iPhone Pro 14 (Lightning cable)

Speakers/headphones:
- tried disconnecting speakers, still static in headset
- tried disconnecting headset, still static in speakers
- speakers/headphones connected, static in both

I'm very disappointed in the product. First impression of the physical product quaility was ok, but this experience make me think it is just a piece of expensive plastic.

I work in electronics and you get these problems if you use dirt cheap components and have a poor PCB design. After reciving the device and experienced these problems I have found a lot of other customers having problems with noise so it seems to be a common issue.

So stay away. Now I need to find a way to return this product and get my money back.

OK for a newbie DJ leaning!

I had some bad sound issues with it ... static / humming noise ... but I recently bought a pair of :
SVS SoundPath Stereo RCA Audio Cable Pair
the sound issues I experienced ... have disappeared ! :-D ... so, yeah ... some high quality cables are always good to have!

For learning how to DJ:ay … as a complete newbie … it is more then fine. Though if you are a professional DJ … maybe look for something better.

Schöne Kombi mit der DJay-App auf dem iPad. Verarbeitung ein bisschen “billig/wackelig” aber durchaus brauchbar. Für den Preis aber ganz ok. Hab mir den Controller vor allem wegen der Möglichkeit zur Steuerung der Neural Mix Parameter besorgt, was offensichtlich andere Controller nicht beherrschen. Das macht schon Spaß. Bisschen umständlich allerdings, dass man sich immer zwischen EQ und Neural Mix entscheiden muss. Da verliert man manchmal den Überblick, in welchem Modus man sich gerade befindet.
Output Volume scheint intern zu clippen, wenn man den Regler am Controller voll aufdreht, selbst bei leiserem Material und aktiviertem Limiter. Auf 50% scheint es nicht zu clippen, dann allerdings auch recht leiser Output-Level.
Manchmal verhält sich der Controller “unerwartet” (macht nicht das, was er soll). Dann hilft nur Ab- und Ansöpseln vom USB. Ich nehme an, dass dies aber eher ein Problem der Software ist.
Insgesamt macht die Kombi schon Spaß, aber eher im Kontext von Privatparties/Wohnzimmer. Im professionellen Umfeld/Club würde ich da eher die Finger von lassen, bis die beschriebenen Probleme gefixt sind.

Llevo tiempo trabajando con la app DJay Pro, utilizandola principalmente para mezclas en vivo. La utilizaba con otras aplicaciones desde el iPad y pasaba varias veces que sufría unos crashes con cierres inesperados debido a la cantidad de operaciones que sufría el ipad a traves de DjayPro: al comprar Reloop Buddy se ha resuelto todo. No solo no tengo más problemas con los crashes, sino que el nivel de mezcla y creatividad han aumentado de forma exponencial en los últimos 30 días.

El dispositivo Buddy es intuitivo, fácil y potente al mismo tiempo: óptima construcciones y calidad de materiales, funciones y controles totales sobre la app, sensibilidad y precisión a la ora del skratch o de aplicar efectos.

Es una máquina poderosa y te da la impresión de estar en ella sintiendote a gusto.

La conexión con iPad y Mac son precisas. Puedes elegir si deviar el audio a la salida RCA del Buddy o desde el dispositivo, sea bluetooth o cable.

El ipad no recarga conectandolo al Buddy así que asegúrate de tener un adaptador a la salida aue permita la recarga o de tener buena carga antes de empezar. Comodísima la ranura para la tablet. Lo convierte en un todo en uno, una controladora capaz de crear ambiente teniendo funciones, filtros, efectos, control del Neural Mix directo (Una pasada!), control de frecuencias.

Hay tutoriales en Youtube divinos que ayudan en arrancar a toda fuerza con este bicho potente.
