Presonus EarMix 16M

This came as part of a promo offer that Thomman packed together with the StudioLive 32R Mixer. It's not something I had in mind using, but given the limited immediate controls on a rack mixer, it has evolved into a very high quality, feature packed monitor controller in my studio. I've routed the StudioLive 32R master out to come out of the 15-16 channel of the Earmix 16M. They are connected vía AVB cable and from the earwax onto my monitors. I've. also routed my mix buses onto different outputs on the Earmix, which allows me to mute or solo each bus as necessary. It enables an independent line out to the monitors, a separate phone jack and the possibility of adding an external audio source (4mm stereo jack out from a phone, laptop) so it can be heard through the speakers. For example... if someone brings a demo they want me to listen I just plug the phone output into the earmix, and now I can hear it on fantastic sounding speakers on whim.

It's so versatile it could be used in various other alternate scenarios. Works and especially sounds great. And no doubt having a monitor control is essential for me. This one substituted my previous unit (ESI MoCo). Huge win!!!!

Hallo. Ich habe mich für das EarMix 16M entschieden, da ich mehrere Geräte von Presonus habe, natürlich auch den Digital-Mixer und mit allem rundum sehr zufrieden bin. Von der Bedienbarkeit und den vielen Möglichkeiten des EarMix bin ich sehr begeistert und sehr zufrieden. Eine kleine Sache muß ich etwas unerfreulich doch noch erwähnen, wenn ich über den Aux-In Eingang ein Signal sende zB. einen Klick oder etwas aus einer anderen Signalquelle dann gibt keinerlei Anzeige für das eingehende oder auch ausgehende Signal, leider auch keine Möglichkeit den Selected Channel für dieses Eingangssignal zu nutzen. Laut Auskunft des freundlichen Thomann-Supports ist das von Presonus "so gewollt" Im allgemeinen bin ich mit dem EarMix sehr zufrieden. Ich bin Keyboarder und betreibe mit dem EarMix die InEars ES535 von Shure was mir in diesem Zusammenhang ein sehr gutes präzises InEar Monitoring liefert. Schön wäre es, wenn auch bald noch die Halterung für ein Stativ lieferbar wäre. Ansonsten SUPER DING und KLARE KAUFEMPFEHLUNG !!!

Achetés pour une utilisation en studio associés à une console StudioLive III avec réseau AVB et routeur de la marque.
On remarque immédiatement l'excellente qualité de fabrication, boitier entièrement métallique, très belle finition, les touches sont très agréables au contact et parfaitement reconnaissables.
L'appareil reçoit deux flux de 8 canaux parmi les huit disponibles sélectionnés à distance à partir de la console, d'un pc ou tablette.
Le son est de très grande qualité et le niveau de sortie impressionnant;
On regrettera juste qu'à ce prix le support ne soit pas fourni.
Je vais le tester sur un réseau MOTU, résultats à venir.
