Moog Sound in a very complete modular system.
Let's be honest. For the price you can get a good polysynth and a monosynth, but since you are interested in modular synthesis you compare the price of 4 moog OSCs, a dual stereo ladder Filter, the vintage stereo analog delay, plus envelopes, plus mults, plus attenuverters, plus LFOs... and suddenly you decide it could be actually a bargain.
Then you hear it, and suddenly the decision is not rational anymore. It can sound vintage a la moog voyager, it can sound classical, and it can sound many many more other ways, as soon as you begin to patch the cables.
And it always sounds good. The huge sweet spot makes of this instrument a very nice platform to experiment and discover different soundscapes, because no matter what you do, it always delivers. There are other fantastic synths nowadays with much more advanced specs... but this one is all about the sound.

Cuts trough the mix like no other synth.
The Matriarch is an outstanding addition to any studio.
It's stereo capabilities are always interesting and cut through the mix without further processing needed. It has weight, width and height.
And it is an experience to play with it. Top recommendation.
