Mesa Boogie Fillmore 50 Head

After some years forced to play with digital devices i restarted to flirt with analog equipment. I fell in the pedals rabbit hole and, searching for a proper pedal pkatform, i stumbled on the fillmore. As the technical sheets report it's a fenderish amp. The tone in general is very fat and even when perfectly clean it retains a kind of armonic richness that remind a driven amp. As i said i use the amp as platform, it's set very clean and with the bass knob very low(9 o'clock). I don't use the driven voices of the amp, just the clean one. The eq is very powerful and the controls are very ineractive with each other so, in my experience, it takes some time to find the "right" tone. Having two cloned channel is very handy, i set two slightly different regulation in order to accomodate the amp to different guitar(eg single coil vs humbucker) in a matter of a second without the need to turn knobs back and forth. Paired with his 2x12 cabinet the head sounds almost as a bass amp (in a pleasant way). I tend to use it with a 2x12 marshall cabinet loaded with a v30 and a creamback for a more dry and sharp tone. It's a versatile amp with a rich voice and strong body. So far i'm very happy.
